Hikes Around Northstar Resort
Hiking Information
Enjoy nature while discovering the flora and fauna of the Northstar area. Nature hikes at Northstar Resort can be leisurely or difficult. Scenic lift rides for sightseeing and hiking are offered throughout the season at Northstar-at-Tahoe™ Resort. Taking a ride up the mountain allows all ages and levels to hike and enjoy panoramic mountain views.
Hike through dense pine and enjoy views of Lake Tahoe. Leashed dogs are welcome on the gondola and all hiking trails at Northstar Resort. Be sure and pack a lunch and bring plenty of water and sunscreen.
Popular Northstar Hiking Trails:
- Mt Pluto : A moderate 2 mile hike. Access from Northstar Village Lift. 2 miles one-way
- Tompkins Memorial Trail : Various easy loops make this popular with hikers and bikers.
- Coldstream Trail : A moderate, 10 mile hike accessed from Donner Lake Memorial State Park.
