Director of Guest Services – Village at Northstar - Tahoe
Responsible for the Tahoe Mountain Resorts Lodging’s Village at Northstar guest reception experience. Responsibilities include daily operation of the Front Desk, Bell Service, and Concierge operations. Ensure and facilitate the comfort, security, welfare, and satisfaction of all guests, both clients and owners, during their stay. Major duties include: Supervise all guest services, bell staff and concierge personnel to ensure that the guest experience is efficient and pleasant and of superior quality. Ensure that all shifts within the department are adequately staffed with trained personnel. Hire, train, supervise and counsel staff with job descriptions, training requirements and performance standards for each position; keep staff informed through regularly scheduled meetings, memos, etc. Ensure all accounting, human resource and payroll records or reports are prepared accurately and punctually and are directed to the appropriate department in a timely fashion. Count and keep track of cash drawers and petty cash. Monitor deposits and follow accounting procedures for cash drops. Responsible for preparation of department annual budget, as well as operating the department within the budgeted guidelines. Ensure that all work and guest areas and equipment (office equipment, phones, and computers) are maintained for appearance, functionality and safety. Expected to attend regularly scheduled management meetings and other property meetings as necessary. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the lobby and entrance areas to ensure a positive first impression for all guests. Be informed about company partners including, but not limited to, East West Partners, Tahoe Mountain Club and Northstar-at-Tahoe. Additional duties and special projects as requested and/or assigned. Because of the fluctuating demands of the operation, employees may be expected to perform other tasks not specifically addressed above. Must be very detail oriented. Strong communication skills including the ability to collaborate with other departments to facilitate problem solving is critical. Four years of college (preferably in hospitality management) and/or professional certificate and suitable industry experience preferred. Position currently scheduled Friday – Tuesday. Some evenings and holidays required. Pay DOE plus full benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and recreation benefits after 30 days of employment. Front Desk Agent at Old Greenwood - Tahoe
Perform functions of guest service in the Pavilion relating to check-in/check-out of guests, which will require information sharing and cash/credit card handling, answering telephones, responding to guest requests and completion of shift reports.
