Star Tours at Lake Tahoe -
Recommended for ages 8 and up

Northstar Resort’s Star Tours offer guests the opportunity to gaze into the night sky and learn more about the solar system and beyond. Each tour offers a different educational experience as the resort has teamed up with the Northern Nevada Science Coalition (NNSC) to offer the tours.
Star Tours will meet at the roller rink in the Northstar Village at 8:30 p.m. Tours include a two-hour astronomer guide, use of telescopes and a souvenir flashlight. The tours cost $15 per adult and $10 per child. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (775) 232-0844 or emailing tony@nevadascience.org
Comfortable shoes are recommended.

Family Biking and Hiking on Your Tahoe Vacation

Smaller Challenges

For shorter hikes with kids, go to the North Tahoe Regional Park where you can explore the .75 mile nature walk. Walk through ponderosa pines while hawks and Steller's jays fly overhead. Along the Truckee River, there is a paved trail for walkers, in-line skaters, and cyclists.

Roller Skating in Tahoe

Northstar at Tahoe Outdoor Rink

The new outdoor skating rink is making its debut in the village this summer. Skaters of all ages can rent roller skates and re-live the good old days of summers. There is a nominal fee.
