Q: Do you recommend a rental car or should we use the available ground transfers offered between Reno-Tahoe International Airport and the Village at Northstar? Old Greenwood?
A:If you plan on skiing or riding at Northstar California only and will remain in the Village during the evenings, you do not need a rental car and can get to Northstar California on the North Lake Tahoe Express. However, if you’re ready for the full Lake Tahoe winter experience and plan to ski/ride nearby mountain resorts like Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Sugar Bowl or Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe, or plan on enjoying some sightseeing, a rental car is necessary. Car rental is necessary for guests staying at Old Greenwood.
Q: What shuttle service is available to get from the Reno Tahoe International Airport to our Tahoe Mountain Resorts Lodging rental in the Village at Northstar?
A: The Tahoe Mountain Resorts Lodging concierge services team can assist you with shuttle transfer reservations between the Reno Tahoe Airport and Tahoe Mountain Resorts Lodging in the Village at Northstar. If you wish to make your own arrangements for ground transfers from the Reno/Tahoe International Airport to Tahoe Mountain Resorts Lodging, please call North Lake Tahoe Express at 866-216-5222.
Q: Is there a shuttle service between the Village at Northstar and the nearby Tahoe resorts?
A:This season we are excited to confirm that there will be shuttle service for a fee between Northstar California and Heavenly Mountain Resort. Please contact the Tahoe Mountain Resorts Lodging concierge for scheduled times and costs. A rental car is necessary to get to other North Lake Tahoe resorts.

Q: Which housekeeping services are available?
A:Guests staying with Tahoe Mountain Resorts Lodging six nights or longer receive a complimentary Mid-Stay clean on the fourth day of their visit. Guests staying less than six nights may purchase Towel & Tidy service or a Mid-Stay clean if they would like housekeeping services provided during their visit.
Towel & Tidy service consists of a towel change if needed, bed making with the existing sheets, trash removal and the start of the dishwasher. A Mid-Stay clean includes bed making with clean sheets, a towel change, trash removal, dishwasher start, counters wiped down and a vacuum if needed. A 24-hour notice is required to guarantee housekeeping services will be scheduled. It is preferred that all housekeeping requests are made at the time of booking.
Housekeeping fees are based on the services provided and the size of the residence occupied. The 2013 Housekeeping Fee Schedule* is listed below. Requests for these services not made at the time of booking may be sent in writing to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.

Q: Which bedding configuration is likely to be standard in our condo?
A: Each residence is privately owned and furnished. Most residences however have a King or Queen bed in the master bedroom and other bedrooms generally feature a queen or twin beds. Go to the "Lodging" pages on the Tahoe Mountain Resorts Lodging website to see descriptions, virtual tours and specific bedding of each residence.
Q: Are Tahoe Mountain Resorts Lodging condominium and homes equipped with individual washer and dryers?
A: Yes, each unit is equipped with its own washer and dryer with the exception of our suites.

Q: What are some dining options offered at the Village?
A: Northstar’s Village now offers a world of great eateries We recommend that you sample most of what Northstar has to offer. To name a few options –Baxter's Bistro, The Chocolate Bar, Earthly Delights, Rubicon Pizza, Mikuni Sushi and Starbuck's Coffee.
Q: Can we make dinner or entertainment reservations and organize for grocery delivery prior to our arrival at Northstar?
A: Absolutely! This is where Tahoe Mountain Resorts Lodging's concierge service helps you create the dream vacation you want. When you book your stay with us, you will be given the opportunity to complete our Concierge order form either online or by fax. Here’s a sampling of the services offered: Dinner reservations, grocery delivery, advance purchase of lift tickets, certain travel arrangements (transfers, taxis, rental cars), rental ski and snowboard equipment, child Care (list of child care facilities and available babysitters), ski school reservations for private instructors, certain in-house rentals (aerobeds, highchairs, pack 'n play, and/or cribs), etc.
Q: What weather conditions can we expect during our stay at Northstar California?
A: While the Tahoe region is recognized for its moderate weather conditions compared to other mountain locations in the West - regardless of the season, it is important to bring a variation of outer wear and clothes to allow you and those traveling with you to dress in layers depending on the weather conditions.
